Studies in Surface & Stitch is an artist book and sculptural piece exploring pattern as design language referencing wallpaper and textile motifs. At its center is a hand-assembled quilt constructed entirely from printed paper fragments as a study in repetition, surface, and the visual logic of domestic ornament.
Made in conjunction with the UIC School of Design during their Summer Risograph Residency in Chicago, IL. Printed using a Risograph and bound/sewed using a Singer sewing machine.
